Terms of Service

These terms describe, in general terms, what PTYGrade is and how its results should be understood.

Preliminary version. These terms are under review before PTYGrade's commercial launch and may be updated before they take effect.

What PTYGrade is

PTYGrade is an independent pre-grading tool for trading card collectors. It helps you examine a card, for example its centering and corners, before you decide whether to send it to a professional grading company.

Not a grading company

PTYGrade is not a grading company, and it is not PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC or TAG. PTYGrade is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of those companies.

PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC and TAG are names of their respective owners and are mentioned only to identify them.

About results

PTYGrade results are estimates produced by analysis tools and are provided for informational purposes. They:

  • don't guarantee the grade a grading company will assign;
  • don't guarantee a card's market value;
  • don't replace the official evaluation of a professional grading company.

Apps, accounts and plans

PTYGrade may offer different plans, with features and limits that vary depending on the plan selected. Current plans, prices, billing periods and features are shown in PTYGrade before you make a purchase.

When you use a PTYGrade account, subscription or paid service, these terms and the conditions shown during the purchase process apply. Specific conditions may also depend on the channel or provider through which the purchase is made.

Cancellation and refunds

This section explains the principles that apply to PTYGrade paid subscriptions. Cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate processes.

Automatic renewals

Paid subscriptions may renew automatically, according to the plan and the channel through which they were purchased. Before you confirm a purchase, PTYGrade will clearly show the plan, the price, the currency, the billing period and, when it applies, that the subscription renews automatically.

Cancelling a subscription

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals in accordance with the conditions that apply to your purchase and the channel through which it was purchased. Cancelling is not the same as requesting a refund, and it doesn't request a refund by itself.

You can cancel using the options available for the channel through which you purchased your subscription. What happens to your access after cancelling may depend on that channel and on the rights that apply to you.

Refund requests

If you have a question about a charge or refund, you can contact PTYGrade Support at support@ptygrade.com. Depending on where you purchased your subscription, the refund request may need to be submitted directly to the payment provider or app store. Each request is reviewed individually, taking into account, as applicable:

  • the circumstances of the purchase;
  • the service provided;
  • relevant use of the service;
  • the status of the transaction;
  • the reason for the request;
  • the provider or channel through which the purchase was made;
  • the consumer rights that apply to you.

No single factor decides a request on its own. For example, having used PTYGrade doesn't by itself rule out a refund where one is due.

Simply changing your mind doesn't, by itself, automatically create a right to a refund for a digital service that has already been provided or used, subject to applicable law and mandatory consumer rights.

Situations that may be reviewed

Examples of situations that may be reviewed include:

  • a duplicate charge;
  • an accidental purchase;
  • a billing problem;
  • a significant technical problem that materially prevented you from using the service you purchased;
  • other reasonable circumstances that need review.

A review doesn't mean that a refund is granted automatically. Requests related to a renewal may also be reviewed.

Purchases through third parties

Purchases made through an app store, payment provider or other third-party channel may also be subject to that provider's cancellation and refund procedures. PTYGrade will reflect the outcome communicated by the provider.

Refunds and access

If a refund, reversal or other adjustment affects the right to use a paid plan, PTYGrade may adjust the related access so that it correctly reflects the valid status of the purchase or subscription.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

PTYGrade may update these terms as the product evolves. The current version is always published on this page.
